Edward Freeman is a motivational speaker, published author, scientist, and servant leader whose work sits at the intersection of science, language, and human potential. His guiding motto, "My playing small does not serve the world. Who am I not to be great?", shapes everything he brings to the stage.

A proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a dual degree in Biology and Applied Languages & Intercultural Studies, Edward went on to earn his Master of Science in Biotechnology from Brown University.
Having traveled to 22 countries across 5 continents, Edward brings a rare global perspective to every stage he steps on. He is the author of Standing: Stand on Who You Were Created To Be, featured in the Georgia Tech Barnes & Noble and recognized by Georgia Tech's Institute Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as a 2021 Faces of Inclusive Excellence Honoree.
Edward's mission is simple: spark creativity, expand possibility, and empower the next generation to own their story.

Edward Freeman, brings to the platform an interesting take on the importance of words and language. His personal stories and anecdotes in relation to the power of words and language make for a relatable and empowering talk. Edward is a Georgia Tech Alumni. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.

Edward uses his speeches to inspire audiences to take action, become the best version of themselves, and step into their purpose. He is a passionate advocate for expanding access and opportunity for students pursuing careers in STEAM disciplines.
A TEDx speaker and Brown University ScM graduate, Edward has presented at conferences and institutions across the country and abroad, including the NEACRAO Annual Conference, the Brown University Black in Business Student Conference, the Georgia Tech STEAM Leadership Conference, and the World Stem Cell Summit Youth Engagement Day.
